According to BANES, around 45% of the UK’s CO2 emissions come from the energy we use every day at home and when we travel. So we can and must make a difference now.
Welcome to Farrington Green – a community group set up to inspire and promote positive change within our village and the network of villages around us. We are devoted to everything and everyone that can make our village more sustainable.
In May 2019, the government committed to tackling the effects of climate change by reducing polluting gases by 34% by 2030 and 80% by 2050. So these are big targets and what lots of us are asking is: how are we going to reach them?

We all want to live in a place that is attractive, viable, safe and well connected.
That means doing everything we can to
improve biodiversity
reduce carbon emissions
reduce waste
improve transportation
We have made a start, but there is lots more we can do – but we need your help.
